Ian Proetta, Art Director, Production Designer, Creative Director and Marketing Director brings a varied and impressive, outlook to the world of design. Ian Proetta´s work is characterized by his commitment to his projects, his attention to detail, his creativity and versatility; Ian’s projects range from designing and producing corperate brochures to advertising campaigns from interior design to movie sets, production design or organizing a main event in all the results are always fresh and unique.
Born in Gibraltar and raised in Spain, Ian first attended a two-year BTEC design program at the London School Of Furniture. This comprehensive course of study included graphic design, fashion, fine art, set and interior design. Upon completion of the program, Ian attended the highly acclaimed Middlesex University, for a four year Bachelor of Arts course of study. The curriculum included design management, space planning, interior, set design, furniture and fixture design.
Upon graduating, Ian left to the United States and worked in New York for the Walker Group CNI, the largest architectural firm in North America. It soon became clear, however, that Ian’s passion lay in the area of production and scenery design, so he settled in Los Angeles where he has worked on a variety of projects for some of the finest designers in the fashion and entertainment industries.
His first assignment was to work for Hodgets and Fung, where he assisted in the creation and design of the Panasonic store in the world famous City Walk at Universal Studios. Ian then joined Jeremy Railton and Associates where he worked on several design projects before being assigned to Production Design and Art Direction for Divine Design 1993 at the Pacific Design Center one of the City’s premier annual galas. Ian’s work on this prestigious charity event was so impressive that he was asked back again in December of 1994 and 1995.
Ian has directed, produced and designed Fashion Fusion, one of the most prestigious fund raising fashion and visual display events in the industry. Ian’s other notable credits includes: Creative Director for Greneker of USA’s most established visual display companies, Art Direction for numerous video and TV commercials such as the Muppet Christmas TV special, the Walt Disney EE3 Exhibition at the Los Angeles Convention Center, Kellogg’s, Bacardi, Volvo, Boeing, Honda, Elton John and Channel 4 Grand Designs to name just a few!
Furthermore Ian’s work as an award winning designer includes the MGM Licensing Show exhibition stand, 1997 Orion Video Show Booth, L’Oreal’s first place award winning exhibition stand, MGM Fashion Award wining exhibition stand, MGM Store design and last but not least the highly acclaimed unveiling of Play Station 2 Event in the United States.
